Some politicians are good about limiting the ability of localities to shake down motorists, but refuse to do anything to stop predatory towing. Other politicians are willing to crack down on predatory towing but have no problem with the traffic ticket revenue schemes of localities.
The end result is that localities and predatory towing companies are usually allowed to continue to harass motorists with little restraint.
We say enough is enough. It’s time for politicians from across the spectrum to recognize the rights of motorists — or suffer the consequences of ignoring this huge voting bloc.
